BT Security gains cyber-attack accreditation
Quality organisation CREST has awarded us Cyber Essentials accreditation, according to Security Portfolio general manager Fiona Michie – and we’re working towards three more.
Cyber Essentials is a government-backed scheme to help organisations protect against cyber-attacks. CREST is a non-profit body establishing quality frameworks and accreditations, and works with CESG (CPNI, GCHQ) and the Bank of England.
“We are working towards further accreditations: Cyber Security Incident Response, CBEST / Simulated Target Attack and Response (STAR) and CBEST / STAR Threat Intelligence,” said Fiona Michie.
“CBEST is a new framework for sharing threat intelligence and delivering cyber security testing and benchmarking for financials in the UK. We are now listed on the Cyber Essentials and CREST.
“The BoE will use CBEST accreditation to recommend which suppliers financial organisations should use, so it puts us in an excellent position to increase our market share.
“This is a testament to the work global ethical hacking product manager Bas de Graaf has been leading to improve our ethical hacking solutions.”
