BT and Cisco remain leaders in Gartner's Magic Quadrants

The latest Gartner research has confirmed Cisco's position at number one for its "ability to execute", with significant gains in its "completeness of vision". The study investigated 16 global vendors in all, scoring them against a number of set criteria, so it's fantastic for Cisco to be out in front again.

Cisco not only maintained its position in the leaders' quadrant, it made more progress than any other leading vendor. As number 1 in terms of "ability to execute", Cisco was assessed against things like:

  • quality, maturity, and overall breadth of applications
  • customer support capabilities
  • ability to deliver solutions in formal contact centres within companies, outsourcers, and service providers.

Couple this with the fact that BT is positioned in the leaders' quadrant for the Global Network Service Providers Magic Quadrant for the 9th time, customers can be assured of two ingredients to provide a successful cloud solution.

According to Gartner, leaders have a full portfolio of voice and data products, coupled with above-average service and support, wide global coverage, and competitive pricing. They have a strong vision that includes adopting more information and communication technology (ICT) capabilities, which is a strategy they articulate clearly and openly.

"BT Global Services (BT GS) manages more than 100 fully hosted deployments. This has enabled BT GS to develop deeper 'bench strength' in contact centre projects and a strong vision for next-generation contact centres." Gartner
